Program Updates
- Navigator Program – We discussed the feasibility of completing an RFP to administer the Navigator program at the YMCA. The program will employ up to 40 social professionals to focus on the homeless community. The concept behind the program is to get homeless individuals professional assistance very early in the lifecycle. We have distributed our assessment tool to the committee to gauge alignment to the Y mission.
- Housing – Individuals at Sunshine Terrace are starting to move to other housing in anticipation of the closing of the facility. Several are choosing section 8.
- YMCA Birthday – Discussed food and beverage actions. Also discussed potential entertainment for the birthday. Ex-radio host Bill Cohen was suggested.
